When the City of Philadelphia began pivoting to accommodate the COVID-19 pandemic, we were well on our way to meeting our goals in preparation for our 14th annual iFunction awards ceremony at the University of the Sciences in May. We are happy to share that we were still able to make an impact with the students this 2020-2021 school year by providing homework help, supporting students with their science fair projects, and hosting an online field trip for 50 students in partnership with the Graduate Association of Bioengineers at the University of Pennsylvania.
Despite these unprecedented times, we are seeking to realize our mission and recognize the tantamount importance of STEM support for poor students in Philadelphia. We are prepared for the day that schools reopen in person and we know that when that time comes, we will need materials, supplies, and talented volunteers ready to do the work of inspiring and uplifting our students. We are hoping that we can count on you!
