Give the gift of science this holiday season
Here’s your chance to show how much you care about delivering world-class science education to all Philadelphia public school students.
We at iPRAXIS work year-round to enrich and improve the delivery of science education in some of Philadelphia’s most challenged public schools. We recruit and train working scientists from around the region to go directly into inner-city classrooms and give presentations, mentor students, lead science fairs and become real partners with teachers.
All of this is critical to ensuring both these students and the region as a whole can benefit from all that science and inspiring a passion for learning can deliver.
But supporting this volunteer-led effort still requires a modest amount of money to be successful. Here’s how a gift to iPRAXIS can enhance science education for our students:
$200 pays for project supplies for one science fair team
$100 pays for supplies for one classroom science presentation and experiment
$50 pays for a trip to Science Day at Hershey Park for one child
$25 pays for a science book for a classroom teacher
$12 pays for the Amazing Machine Workshop and Tour at the Franklin Institute for one child
